Studying for my degree in the Jewellery Quarter gave me a fascinating glimpse into Birmingham's bustling industrial past and its enduring creative energy.

I met many skilled craftsmen, some working behind unassuming doorways, or tucked along Victorian alleyways. They have years of experience in skills like hand engraving, polishing, stone setting and silversmithing.

It has been fascinating finding out about all these skills - both new and old - and meeting the people who practise them.

I hope that my jewellery reflects my passion for the craft and attention to detail.
