
Adding Colour on an Enamelling Course
Last weekend I was at In the Studio Jewellery School, learning more about enamelling and painting with enamels. Enamels are made from finely ground glass, these are applied to the piece and then fired, either in a kiln or with a torch, until the glass heats and fuses to the metal – producing beautiful colours. Today I was at Art in the Park in Leamington Spa, helping people make lovely new jewellery from unwanted pieces with donations going to Breast Cancer Charity. It was a popular stall, especially with younger ones! The stall was sponsored by Fabulous.
